There is nothing better than wrapping up in a double duvet cover with Christmas films on and guilty snacks. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These kinds of days are just so relaxing. If you have been out in the snow, these days are even more deserved. Warming yourself up can be an excuse but it will be so much fun. The following article is my three top tips for relaxing on a winter’s day.

Movie Day
You have probably guessed by now that one of my favourite winter activities is to sit on the sofa wrapped in my double duvet cover with some snacks and my holiday movies. the titles that always make me feel festive include the Grinch, Love Actually and anything with Hugh Grant in. If I can I will do this for the entire day, only leaving the sofa to go to the bathroom. But I can assure you that you won’t want to get off the settee once you have plonked yourself down so get everything you need around you at the start of the movie marathon. But do make sure you get up in time to make it to the toilet when you need a wee!

Cooking And Baking
If I have a bit of energy then I love to do some baking and cooking in the kitchen. When it is cold outside and you are making warm goodies, there is a small delight in the windows steaming up and closing you off from the outside world. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. I also try my hand at warm pies, soups and cakes. Not only is cooking a form of stress relief which is nice during the busy holiday season but it is also very fun, and you get to enjoy what you make!

Playing In The Snow
And of course no winter would be complete without a snow fight, building snow people and making angels in the white stuff. You can feel like a child again when you get to have a snow day. Enjoying the winter weather is something that everyone can do whether they are children or adults.
