New Moon, the second in the line of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga to arrive on the massive screen, has had one thing of a bumpy ride getting here. 1st up there was the issue of Edward Cullen, portrayed in the flicks by heart-throb Robert Pattinson, and also the restricted amount of your time he’s truly within the second book, and then there was the issue of the lawsuit filed by an old faculty room-mate of Meyer’s, who claimed alleged plagiarism against the author of Twilight.
The forged and crew carried on though, and the outcome of their labours has quickly become an enormously big hit all over the globe. Edward is seen during the film in a way which could seem a touch cheesy, but then, this is the Twilight range, and cheese is no stranger to it. That said, the film has been getting much higher reviews than the first entry in the line, which was disliked by many critics and brought to task for some of the rather tricky aspects of the link involving a teenage girl and a century-old vampire.
It would appear that the producers of the Twilight films across at Summit heard the positive comment of some reviews (and disregarded the rants of people who hated it) and have created a much better film this time round. Their paid off, and predictions of the film being a large hit have proven to be spot on. Fans have been rushing to see it, and also the New Moon products area is bursting withextra things for fans to collect.
The range of New Moon products seems a very little classier than previously for franchises like Harry Potter, as the books that each one of this stems from are aimed toward a different demographic; specifically kids in their early to mid teens, rather than kids upwards. This is often why some aspects of the merchandising, like the Twilight and New Moon duplicate jewellery, is proving to be such a strong seller.
It’s also attention-grabbing that different New Moon products things like posters, calendars, bookmarks and others of their sort are thus common with fans, together with special editions of the books themselves, as this is rather different to the method that things usually keep company with film products.
The special editions of the Twilight novels are actually seen as collector’s things to many fans, with these Twilight special editions remaining untouched on shelves or in their packaging while their well-thumbed paperbacks are regularly read and enjoyed. The audience is thrilled with the most recent film, even though many critics are again ripping it apart. That’s an indication of one thing with a very strong fanbase indeed, and it will definitely continue when ‘Eclipse’, the third Twilight film in the collection, gets here.
